What happens when Italian passion meets Slavic soul? You get an evening of cooking, tasting, and talking – in two languages.
We are delighted to invite you to a very special edition of Mot & Мост, created in collaboration with Pasta Casa Di Mimi and its founder, Chef Mirko Arnesano.
Mot & Мост is a language exchange project where Swiss people who want to learn Russian meet Russian speakers who want to practise French or Swiss German. We usually meet over a glass of wine and conversation. This time, we're trying a new format: we'll cook together while practising languages.
What we'll do
In small teams of two, we'll prepare two iconic dishes from scratch:
Russian pelmeni – the classic dumplings, filled and shaped by hand Homemade Italian pasta – with the authentic technique and secrets of Chef Mirko
While our hands are busy with flour and filling, our mouths will be busy speaking, laughing, and learning. You'll switch between Russian and French/German as you work in pairs – just like in our regular meetings.
Who's guiding you
Arina Charm – creator of Mot & Мост, will host the evening and make sure everyone feels comfortable speaking, no matter their level.
Mirko Arnesano – chef and soul of Casa Di Mimi, will teach you the tricks of real homemade pasta and pelmeni.
Together, they'll create a warm, supportive atmosphere where you can cook, chat, and make new friends.
