For 12 days, the medieval town of Murten transforms into a spectacular light show of superlatives! The artistic installations on buildings, streets, and the towers of the old town immerse visitors in a mysterious and magical world of light.
The old town and the surrounding areas of Murten will be showcased during the light festival with various light animations by national and international artists. Every evening, visitors can experience an ultimate sound and light show during a multi-hour walk.

We recommend that you prefer weekdays as well as Sunday evenings to avoid times of high visitor traffic. The installations are spread throughout the town of Murten: you will also find works in the museum, protected and warm, as well as by the lakeshore, where the crowds are often smaller.
Purchase your ticket online in advance to avoid queues at the entrance. All festival installations are included in the ticket price. Only the performance in the German church requires a separate ticket.
