This year's Midi Musique series says goodbye with thunder, lightning and hail. It will be replaced by the Serenade Concerts.
In addition to the well-known organ work "Pièce d'Orgue" by Johann Sebastian Bach, "Scène pastorale" by Louis James Alfred Lefébure-Wély is the highlight of Hans-Jürgen Studer's music programme. This work is a true-to-life rendition of a thunderstorm on the organ.
Hans-Jürgen Studer has been principal organist at the important 1995 Goll organ in Zug's Protestant church since 1989. Hans-Jürgen Studer was born in 1961 in Kehl, Germany. He took his first piano and organ lessons in Kehl and at the Strasbourg Conservatory with Michel Chapuis and Marc Schaefer. Hans-Jürgen Studer holds teaching diplomas for piano and organ as well as concert diplomas in organ from the music academies in Vienna and Zurich.
We welcome our audience to this musical event on Saturday, 13 September at 12.00 noon in the German Church. The concert will exceptionally take place one week after the Brocante, as this has been brought forward due to the Cadet Days.
