The Lamberta caves, located above Môtier, were carved into sandstone between 1916 and 1917 to defend the Swiss Plateau during the First World War.
This resulted in an impressive 200-meter-long tunnel.
Nowadays, the caves are a paradise playground for children: young and old explorers discover every corner of this oversized sandcastle or play hide-and-seek for hours.
