The road continues to Fribourg, the canton’s economic capital which is known for its good gastronomy and where you will find a cultural treasure trove that goes back to the Middle Ages.
In La Gruyère, the route goes along the Lake Gruyère, the ideal opportunity to have a stop : discover the water sports or visit the beautiful Ogoz Island. The road continues up to Broc where the chocolate is made for more than 100 years in the Maison Cailler, a gourmet visit not to be missed. La Maison du Gruyère, situated in some kilometers, is the next gastronomic stop. Then visit the magnificent medieval city of Gruyères and savour a good fondue, as well as meringues with Gruyère double cream. The Grand Tour of Switzerland leaves Fribourg in the valley of Intyamon, situated on the territory of the Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut Regional Nature Park, a true haven of peace in the middle of the nature.
