Audrey shares her idea of the perfect escape: an early morning stand-up paddle session on Lake Murten, a walk from Fribourg’s Old Town to the Gottéron gorge, a relaxing break on Ogoz Island, and some wellness time at Les Bains de la Gruyère. 🏆 Audrey Werro comes from the Lake Murten Region. At just 20 years old, she competed in the Paris 2024 Olympics and has since distinguished herself on the international stage. In July 2025, she became the European U23 champion in the 800m, then won the silver medal at the World Indoor Championships in March 2026. In June 2026, she won the Diamond League in Stockholm with a time of 1’53’’98, setting the third-fastest time in history – a record she broke three weeks later at the Diamond League in Paris (1’53’’80). Audrey proudly wears the canton’s colours on the world’s most prestigious tracks.
