The best of 15 years and new disasters
If someone fails as magnificently and comically as Waghubinger does in thought, word and deed, all he can do is keep getting back up, pull himself together and take a seat on the bar stool. Since planning for the future has never really worked out for him, this time he looks back – and a little to the side. The best stories, the ones audiences have come to love this character for, are told once again and combined with new anecdotes and attempts at explanation to create an emotional roller-coaster.
Waghubinger thinks and talks in such a way that he narrowly misses reality, sometimes making us believe we can see it more clearly than in the theatre of our own lives.
The famous mirror he holds up to society is, this time, a rear-view mirror broken off while parking. And whoever wishes can see themselves, the world, or simply Waghubinger again reflected in it. Philosophical grumbling and affectionate mischief.
The Allgemeine Zeitung Mainz writes about him:
“Effortless and polished. There are very few cabaret artists who can match Waghubinger’s mastery of language – and even fewer colleagues whose finely crafted texts glide so effortlessly through the auditorium.”
Stefan himself simply says that he practises Austrian-style complaining and grumbling, but with German thoroughness.
