Number 6 of the historical tour.
Previously open on the town side, this square tower dates back to the 14th century. The upper level was probably built in the second half of the 16th century.
Like all the older buildings in the town, the tower has undergone numerous transformations. Inside, the height of the original floors is indicated by means of the small cornice.
Since 1989, the tower has served as a summer cultural venue housing an exhibition every week and hosting performances every Thursday evening.
The tower owes its name to a character from local legend, a hairy, bearded being living in the woods who would come out in springtime to chase young girls.
