A delicious, light dessert. The aniseed flavour surprises the taste buds!
Ingredients:
- 8 eggs
- 500 g sugar
- 200 g butter
- 1 cup cream
- 1 pinch salt
- 2-3 tbsp. aniseed
- approx. 1-1.3 kg flour
Preparation:
Beat eggs and sugar until white, melt butter (not hot), add cream and spice, stir in flour as required. Let the dough rest for a few hours.
Shape into pencil-thick rolls, and roll in sugar if necessary. Cut into 5 cm-long pieces. Slash sides in 3 places, place on a greased baking sheet and bake at 200°C for 5-8 minutes.
