La catedral de San Nicolás 

En el corazón del barrio «Bourg», la catedral gótica de San Nicolás es el símbolo por excelencia de Friburgo. Construida en 1283, este emblema de la ciudad posee un bajorrelieve del Juicio Final en su pórtico, magníficas vidrieras, un gran órgano de cuatro teclados, una torre de 74 metros de altura y mucha historia.

At the heart of the ‘Bourg’ quarter, the Gothic St. Nicholas Cathedral is the symbol par excellence of Fribourg. The town’s landmark, whose construction began in 1283, depicts a bas relief of the Last Judgement on the main door, has magnificent glass windows, wonderful old organs, a 74-metre-high observation tower – and a rich history!
