When the days grow shorter and the nights colder, Murten reveals itself in its most magical light. From November to March, our little town transforms into a radiant winter world, inviting you to enjoy special moments — outdoors in the fresh air, savoring cosy culinary delights, or immersing yourself in unique light experiences.

To brighten up the Advent season, Murten hosts its traditional Christmas market, while in Avenches the festive Christmas village brings the old town to life. The warm glow of lights in both towns fills the streets with festive cheer, sparks anticipation, and creates heartwarming moments.
