Audrey Werro is from Courtepin, in the Lake Murten Region. While finishing her studies, she’s already making a name for herself on the international stage! At just 20 years old, she competed in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. She is a two-time European U20 champion in the 800m, a World U20 silver medalist in the same event, and holds the U20 world record in the 1000m as well as the European U20 and U23 indoor records in the 800m. She is also a multiple-time Swiss elite and junior champion and holds several national records. In 2025, she reached the finals in the 800m at both the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing and the European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn.

Audrey shares her idea of the perfect escape: an early morning stand-up paddle session on Lake Murten, a walk from Fribourg’s Old Town to the Gottéron gorge, a relaxing break on Ogoz Island, and some wellness time at Les Bains de la Gruyère. The day ends with a delicious meal in Fribourg followed by a nighttime stroll to admire the lights of the Old Town. A day that reflects her spirit: rich, vibrant, and deeply Fribourg.
