The city of Fribourg is located in central Switzerland, on the border between the country’s French-speaking and German-speaking regions, and is very well served by the Swiss rail and road network. It is therefore easily accessible by public transport and by car. More information on your arrival at your destination can be found below.
By plane

Zürich (ZRH), Geneva (GVA) and Basel (BSL) airports are each about 1.5 hours from Fribourg by train or car.

By train

By train, Fribourg/Freiburg station is served by the Intercity line that runs between St. Gallen, Zürich (airport), Bern, Fribourg/Freiburg, Lausanne, and Geneva (airport). The BCF Arena and other attractions are easily accessible by train, bus, bicycle, or on foot from the railroad station.
Your game ticket gives you free travel on public transport throughout the canton of Fribourg on game day (see fare zone network). Take advantage of it to get to the BCF Arena and discover the region of Fribourg!
For journeys outside the canton of Fribourg or without a game ticket, tickets can be purchased from the Swiss Federal Railways SBB. For international visitors, the Swiss Travel Pass is your gateway to the Swiss public transport network.
By car

If you are traveling by car, the Fribourg-Nord exit of the A12 highway is ideal for easy access to the BCF Arena and the city center. Please follow local directions and park in the recommended parking lots (Forum Fribourg).
To reach the car parks designated for the matches, motorists are requested to follow the signage in place and the instructions given by the stewards. Regarding parking, the Saint-Léonard municipal underground car park will be closed from Monday 4 May to Friday 5 June 2026. The Saint-Léonard park-and-ride (P+R) facility will meanwhile be unavailable between Thursday 14 and Thursday 28 May. As for the parking spaces located opposite the cemetery, they will also be inaccessible from Monday 4 May until Wednesday 3 June.
Such an event will have an impact on traffic around the Saint-Léonard sports complex and the surrounding area. Allée du Cimetière will therefore be closed to traffic from 8 May, while the upper section of Route de Morat (between Chemin du Mettetlet and the Saint-Léonard restaurant) will be closed from 11 May, including on non-match days. Businesses located on the site will, however, remain accessible, and buses will continue to operate. More generally, residents are advised to allow extra time for journeys in the affected areas.
