Following the work being carried out between Poyet Riond and Vounetz, bicycles will no longer be allowed on the gondola until further notice.
Ride the slopes of Vounetz on this challenging mountain bike route. During your ride, take a gourmet break at the Auberge de Tissiniva or the Restaurant Les Dents-Vertes. You can even rent an electric mountain bike in the village of Charmey.
This difficult level itinerary, is ideal if you want to climb higher. A sporting ride awaits you, made accessible thanks to the help of the electric bike.
This route takes about 3 hours and starts in the heart of Charmey, at the Centre de Sports et de Loisirs (rental point). The first section follows the agricultural path in the beautiful Javro valley. Once you reach the Pré-de-l'Essert, the difficulty increases as you reach "La Scie", where the resort's chairlift is located. On agricultural roads closed to traffic, the ascent continues to the Chalet "Poyet Riond" at 1385m. The ascent continues and brings sports enthusiasts to the Auberge de Tissiniva at 1474m, for a tasty break or refreshments. A final effort is necessary to reach the summit of Vounetz, after passing the chalet of Banderettes d'Amont.
Arriving at the summit of Vounetz at 1610m, mountain bikers can admire the view of La Gruyère and the summits of the Pre-Alps. The Dents-Vertes restaurant welcomes you to relax over a nice local meal or a well-deserved aperitif.
The descent begins along the same route as the ascent, then continues to the Auberge de Tissiniva for a snack or refreshment. The route then crosses the Reposoirs forest and finally rejoins the original path.
