Cuarteto Tango Indigo
The Cuarteto Tango Indigo is deeply rooted in the tradition of Argentine tango and is distinguished by its combination of violin, piano, bandoneon, and, more surprisingly, bass clarinet.
The ensemble was formed in 2006 when four young professional musicians met. The essence of Tango Indigo lies in the art of innovation while maintaining respect for Argentine folklore.
Their 2014 album Pedacito de cielo earned them the opportunity to represent Switzerland at the World Tango Championship in Buenos Aires in 2015. The ensemble then gave numerous concerts in Switzerland and France, accompanied by dance and singing.
2022 marks a new stage in the project with the album Acuarela Porteña, the result of an intense collaboration between the Cuarteto and Argentine singer Maria de la Paz.
