Soil and the organisms that live in it play a central role in climate regulation, carbon sequestration, water purification, food quality, and biodiversity preservation.
Microbiologist and soil ecology specialist Emmanuel Bourguignon will present his research and the principles of soil restoration outlined in his latest book, Prendre soin de son sol (Caring for Your Soil).
Urs Gfeller, market gardener, and François Füllemann, agronomist and head of the Soil Section at the DGE of the State of Vaud, will take part in a discussion following the presentation.
