The farmer and the photograph seem to be as opposed as the city and the country, the head and the hands.
Farmers work the land, not contemplate it. And yet, throughout the ages, some have tried their hand at photography. In this talk, geographer Romain Borcard lets the images speak for themselves. A journey back in time to better understand rural life and farming activities in Gruyère in the last century. It's an opportunity to consider the issues, past and present, linked to agriculture and landscape management.
