This sixteenth century building is now an art gallery where a number of craftsmen come to exhibit their work, from Easter through to mid-October.
Its name comes from the group sculpture placed there for convenience, the canopy protecting it from bad weather. It is said that during the Middle Ages, a guardroom was here. In the 18th century, the building was used as a saunerie, a place where salt was stored and sold.
Inside the building, on the ground floor, various goods were deposited here, corn and salt for example. Later, it was used as a fire station. Now it is available for regional craftsmen to put on weekly exhibitions.
