After driving along the Broye Canal, you will see Lake Murten in its green setting. Enjoy the natural charm and freshness of Switzerland's longest sandy beach, then head for the old marshland region between Avenches and Villars-le-Grand.
The concrete paths offer pleasant signposting, even though they are mainly intended for agricultural traffic. You then walk along the Petite Glâne, a tributary of the Broye for which studies are underway to give it a wilder appearance. Finally, you find the Broye canal, then the Arbogne river, which has retained its charm and its green border of yesteryear.
