The Abyss Festival returns from June 26 to 28 on the shores of Lake Gruyère with an electrifying lineup dedicated to extreme music.
This year’s highlights include metal legends Max and Iggor Cavalera: Max with Soulfly, blending thrash, groove, and tribal influences, and Iggor delivering a chilling electronic set. Another major act, Cattle Decapitation, a powerhouse in brutal and technical death metal.
London’s scene will be well represented with WARGASM, mixing electropunk, nu-metal, and rap, and Rendez Vous, shifting between shoegaze and grunge. Expect raw energy from Severe Torture (old-school death metal) and Lifesick (intense hardcore).
On the discovery side, Lowen offers progressive doom infused with Middle Eastern influences, while Thantifaxath delivers avant-garde and demanding black metal. Punk fans will enjoy Rifle and Cage, bringing unfiltered energy.
Swiss bands shine with Borgne’s industrial black metal, Radon’s dark blackened sludge, and Exit’s fierce death/thrash. Reverend Beat-Man, Terrain Vague (grindcore), Fvria (rap-punk-electro), and King Bird (rock covers) complete this explosive lineup.
