The Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut Regional Nature Park is a territory of mountains and valleys stretching across the Fribourg, Vaud and Bernese Pre-Alps. Its landscapes combine peaks, alpine pastures, forests, spectacular gorges and vibrant villages, with an identity deeply rooted in alpine traditions.

What makes the Park unique is its role as a link between lowlands and mountains, between human activities and natural environments, between heritage and innovation. The beating heart of the region is the alpine pasture season: every summer, herds and farming families move to higher altitudes, perpetuating a way of life shaped by cheesemaking traditions that have moulded the landscape.
The Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut Nature Park remains a living and inhabited area, where residents, businesses and institutions work together to preserve biodiversity, pass on knowledge, develop sustainable economic activities and promote responsible tourism. It is a living laboratory where the beauty of the landscapes, cultural richness and contemporary life come together to shape a sustainable future.
