The Fête de la Danse takes place every year in Bulle, Fribourg, and across Switzerland. From hip hop to tango, contemporary dance to the waltz or folk dances… come and dance to your heart’s content!
Since 2006, the Fête de la Danse has grown to become a major national cultural event, bringing together enthusiasts, the curious and the uninitiated to celebrate the art of movement in all its forms. From 6 to 10 May 2026, it returns to the towns of Bulle and Fribourg for five days of performances for all ages, introductory sessions, festive evenings and unforgettable encounters. Spread across some fifteen venues, the programme showcases the work of Swiss companies and international artists, and invites the public to try their hand at the art of dance at a tea dance or one of its traditional introductory classes!
Open to everyone, the festival offers a Pass granting access to most of its performances for the modest sum of 25 francs. The various outdoor activities, which will take place notably at the Grand-Places in Fribourg or at the Bouleyres sports complex in Bulle, are free of charge.
