| Featuring a professional orchestra and cast, "La Chanson du Pays de Gruyère" invites you to an unforgettable evening celebrating our musical and cultural heritage. Alexandre, an internationally renowned conductor, must return to his native Gruyère to look after his mother in a care home. When he arrives, she seems to be in great shape and insists on telling him about her spiritual and cultural heritage: she was, in fact, the Abbé Bovet’s secretary. Alexandre wants nothing to do with it! He seems to detest this figure from his childhood – the very reason he left Switzerland. Through a series of memories and flashbacks, the story of Fribourg’s most famous composer gradually unfolds, resolving the conflict between a mother and her son, and between tradition and modernity. From 31st March to 11th April 2027 at CO2. Join us for some chalet soup before the performances, served from 6.00 pm on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and from 1.00 pm on Sundays!
