The Bouleyres forest, to the East of the town of Bulle is a big « bubble » (Bulle in French) of oxygen, a relaxing place to escape to.
The Bouleyres woodland is a place for grown-ups and children, for the youth and the elderly – everyone can enjoy being there. Because it is so close to Bulle and its immediate surroundings, the woods are ideal for walks, for meeting people, for getting some periods of rest, for meditating even, or for playing and indulging in sports.
The forest, set between 700 and 780 metres (over 2,100 feet) above sea level, covers an area of gentle slopes. It gives shelter for a wide variety of fauna and flora. Amongst other facilities that have been provided are the “4 sapins” (4 firs) playground, the Bouleyres hut and various shelters, as well as some picnic places. A Finnish trail and different routes through the forest with an indication of their lengths give great pleasure to walkers and those who go there to run.
You can get to the forest from Bulle, La Tour-de-Trême, Broc and Morlon.
