With this first option, continue the trek to the summit of La Berra before completing the loop back to Charmey.
DAY 2
The second day starts with a tasty breakfast, followed by an optional visit to discover traditional cheese-making. It's a great opportunity for both young and old to learn about milking and the artisanal production of Gruyère cheese. A passionate cheesemaker will be there to share all the secrets of his craft. This experience is available until August 20—after this date, the cows return to the plains.
After gaining the energy needed for this second day of hiking, you set off towards the summit of La Berra. At the top, a 360° panoramic view reveals breathtaking landscapes of Lake Gruyère, the Swiss plateau, as well as the Pre-Alps and Alps. La Berra is an ideal destination for families, featuring a playground, and the Chalet de La Berra welcomes you for a well-deserved break.
Finish the loop with a descent back to the starting point at Charmey along a pretty route through forests and pastures.
