2 nights and 3 days in the heart of nature await you!
Are you a fan of wide-open spaces? Are you looking to hike for several days? This itinerary is for you.
Go for a three-day hike in the Fribourg Pre-Alps.
The trek starts in Jaun, the only German-speaking village in La Gruyère. This first part leads you to the Chalet du soldat, nestled at the foot of the Gastlosen. This famous mountain range - sometimes called the Swiss Dolomites - stands majestically along the trail.
Arriving at the Chalet du Soldat, you can enjoy the unique setting and watch the sunset over the mountainous area. It is in this historical building that you spend your first night, in the inspiring calm of nature. An evening meal, which you can enjoy on the terrace, is included in the offer, as is breakfast the next morning. A picnic lunch and a second day's supply of food are also provided.
The second day takes you on to discover the Vanil Noir reserve. The aim of the day: to reach the Cabane des Marindes via the Petit and Gros Mont. This alpine chalet transformed into mountain accommodation is nestled in the Vallon des Morteys, at the foot of the Vanil Noir - the highest mountain in Fribourg.
This haven of peace offers a place to contemplate a wild and preserved nature. Everyone can enjoy the flora of the Péalpes. The luckiest - and especially the quietest - can also hope to see the local fauna, in particular the marmots and ibexes that rule this part of the country.
The second night, also included in the package, starts with a good soup to recover before a restful night in this exceptional setting. At daybreak, the awakening of nature accompanies the awakening of hikers, who enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee before embarking on the last stage of the trek.
This third day takes the hikers along the Vanil Noir slopes. More technical than the first days, this section requires a steady footing and allows you to pass through the Col de Bounavaletta, which overlooks the Intyamon. After an optional stop at the Cabane de Bounavaux, which serves refreshments, you return to the plain and civilisation at Grandvillard. This charming village offers a rural architectural route, to end your trek with a cultural aspect.
This excursion into the wilderness will delight good walkers. A 1:25,000 scale hiking map completes the offer, allowing you to discover the surrounding peaks during your trek.
