Family Gertrud & Claude Buchs.
Open 7/7 from June to September, May (week-ends) and October only by nice weather.
Located at 1,642 m above sea level, at the foot of the spectacular Gastlosen mountain range, Chalet Grat is an authentic alpine chalet in the heart of the Gruyère region. Surrounded by breathtaking views of the Bernese and Valais Alps, it is a perfect destination for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts.
The welcoming mountain restaurant serves traditional Swiss specialties made with regional products, including moitié-moitié cheese fondue, wood-fired rösti, cold platters and the famous meringue with Gruyère double cream.
Accessible via several hiking trails, the chalet is also an excellent starting point for exploring the Gastlosen, often called the “Swiss Dolomites”. Visitors can enjoy panoramic hikes, climbing routes or simply relax and enjoy a delicious break with stunning mountain views.
For those wishing to extend their stay, Chalet Grat also offers a few guest rooms, allowing visitors to spend the night in the mountains and experience sunrise or sunset in a unique alpine setting.
