The former cheese barrel workshop became an inn and is now a popular spot for a delicious meal or a stay in the centre of Bulle.
This cheese barrel workshop became an inn in 1784. The paintings in the restaurant (1901) were created by the Piedmontese painter Joseph Ferrero (1864-1946). They are one of the first “Art Nouveau” decorations in Switzerland. The exterior fresco by Franck Bouroullec (2020) refers to the commercial vocation of Bulle. On the rue de la Sionge side, you can admire the “Vache à Bulle”.
