On September 6 and 7, 2025, the "Arts du Feu" exhibition and market will once again take over the streets of the medieval town of Gruyères.
The "Arts du Feu" committee is delighted to organize the event with the participation of a remarkable group of artists, eager to return to the public space and showcase the fruits of their studio work.
Launched in 2013, this biennial event highlights the full spectrum of fire-related crafts—from blacksmithing and glassblowing to ceramics and enamel. Artists and artisans specializing in these crafts will set up their stands in the heart of Gruyères to present their creations. Whether functional pieces or sculptures, the work with noble materials can be seen in both traditional forms (bowls, ceramic plates, raku, glass, etc.) and resolutely contemporary interpretations.
The artists are there to talk about their art and the materials they master. Some will work directly at their stands, much to the delight of visitors. Coming from Switzerland, France, and beyond, many exhibitors at the "Arts du Feu" are long-time participants in this gathering. Various activities will punctuate these two days dedicated to craftsmanship passed down through generations. These traditional techniques continue to serve today's needs.
Once again, museums will host exhibitions featuring artists of fire-related crafts and will offer a combined ticket for visits, including access to Gruyères Castle.
