On the 2nd and 3rd of September 2023, the "Arts du Feu" market exhibition will once again take place in the medieval city.
The Arts du Feu committee is happy to be able to organise the event with the help of a fine panel of artists, happy to finally return to the streets to show the fruit of their labours.
Launched in 2013, the bi-annual event features everything from blacksmiths to glassblowers, from clay to enamel. Artists and craftsmen of the fire professions will be setting up their stands in the heart of Gruyères to present their respective creations. Utility pieces or sculptures with a work of noble materials that we like to find either in traditional creations (bowls, ceramic dishes, glass...) or contemporary ones.
The artists are there to talk about their art and the materials they master. Some of them work on their stands for the greatest pleasure of the public. Coming from Switzerland, France and elsewhere, the exhibitors of Arts du Feu are, for some, regulars to the event. Animations will take place during these two days dedicated to the know-how that has been passed down from generation to generation. These traditional techniques are at the service of present-day needs.
Once again, the museums will host exhibitions of artists working in the field of fire and will propose a collective ticket for all visits, including that of the castle of Gruyères.
