The Double Cream Festival takes place every two years in Gruyères. Come and treat yourself on the 4th and 5th of June in the medieval city!
In the heart of the city of Gruyères, experience a tasty moment with family or friends. During this gourmet weekend, numerous activities honour the regional delicacy: the famous crème double from La Gruyère.
With its traditional tasting tour on Saturday and Sunday, eight double cream dishes are available. Complement your visit with one of the many other events: a small market and demonstration of local crafts, a travelling farm for children, an exhibition in the Galerie du Calvaire or a giant 2m x 2.5m meringue Poya made by the Association of bakers and confectioners of the canton of Fribourg.
Between 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock , old agricultural machines will be on display along the Rue du Bourg.
On Saturday at 12:30 and 3:30 pm, a herd will pass through the town.
Musical entertainment will make this weekend even more festive, with several groups of musicians as well as the inevitable Cor des Alpes.
The festival card gives access to reductions in the various museums and shops of the medieval town.
