Discover the poyas with our suggested itinerary between Estavannens and Lessoc. Go up the Sarine river to discover Gruyère villages where you can still admire very old poyas.
First of all, it is necessary to reach the village of Estavannens and the church which dominates the village and from there, you can enjoy a superb panoramic view over the Intyamon valley.
Stroll through the "Village d'en Haut" while admiring its old streets. Walk past the Café des Montagnards and follow the signposted trail to Grandvillard.
You will discover this magnificent village that offers rural architecture. Historic residences, some of which date back to the 17th century, have an informative sign on their facade and are a great way to discover them.
The trail continues, through forest and pastures, towards the small village of Lessoc. On the way, make a detour to the Buth Chapel.
Once you arrive in the village of Lessoc, take a look inside the church and admire the magnificent carved wooden ceiling and remarkable old frescoes. In the centre of the village is the Lessoc fountain where you will find the famous legend.
