Upriver from Estavannens is the magnificent Dâh waterfall. Close by, a chapel tells its story, connected to a dramatic event.
It is claimed that the water from this rivulet is as beneficial as that of Lourdes. Nonetheless, the locals from the village say that no miraculous healings have been noted.
The Dâh Chapel owes its existence to the tragic death of some young farmers in an avalanche. They were taking advantage of the wintry weather to slide hay from the mountain pasture to the village. In memory of these lost lives, it was decided to transform the Dâh oratory into a chapel (1846).
An alpine skier from the area named Our Lady of Dâh as his personal "psychological coach".
