The summit of Vanil Noir is located in the Swiss Alps, in the canton of Fribourg. It is the highest peak in the canton of Fribourg, reaching an altitude of 2389 meters and offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
The summit is also surrounded by a rich and diverse flora and fauna, including rare and protected plant and animal species. It is part of The Vanil Noir Nature Reserve.
This summit is only accessible to experienced hikers or those accompanied by a mountain guide. It is a difficult hike (level T4+). Although there are wire ropes and chains in some places on the Vanil Noir, other overhead passages are not secured.
