A gentle family hike on very good footpaths from Moléson-sur-Gruyères to Plan-Francey.
This route takes you from Moléson-sur-Gruyères (1100 m) to Plan-Francey (1550 m) and back.
You start your hike in Moléson-sur-Gruyères and then you will pass by the "Cabane des Clés" where you can enjoy a little break with refreshments, during the weekends and also during the school holidays.
The path then continues through the green countryside to Plan-Francey, the intermediate station. The Restaurant-Gîte Plan-Francey serves local cuisine. From its terrace, you have a wonderful view of the Gruyère region and the Fribourg Pre-Alps.
The descent from Plan-Francey to Moléson-sur-Gruyères is via "Moléson à Baron". As this way back is shorter, the path is steeper, but of good quality. You can use the funicular if you only want to walk half of the way. From the intermediate station, you can also take the cable car up to the 2022-metre-high summit to enjoy the 360° panoramic view.
