The Grand Tour des Vanils takes place in a pre-Alpine environment marked by exceptional natural heritage, a rich landscape and a predominantly alpine economy.
This 11-stage tour takes you between the cantons of Fribourg and Vaud, in the heart of the Pre-Alps. Fully signposted, the Grand Tour des Vanils immerses hikers in the richness of the Gruyère-Pays-d'Enhaut Nature Park. Stops in charming villages and mountain cabins can be booked to complete the entire tour.
The route is aimed at experienced hikers, equipped for a mid-altitude mountain walk and can be walked in either direction, in separate stages or entirely. Six of the 11 stages are in Fribourg and all have waymarkers. Walkers can easily adapt them to suit their preferences.
