This 3-day hike starts in Charmey and winds its way along the Jogne to the village of Jaun. On day 2, hikers reach the Chalet du Soldat, nestling at the foot of the famous Gastlosen mountains, a true highlight of Swiss tourism. This 2nd day of trekking takes you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and gives you an incredible view of the Gastlosen range, the ‘Swiss Dolomites’. Your hiking holiday ends with a trip from the summits to the charming village of Charmey, via the sublime Gros-Mont Valley.

DAY 1
10.7 km | 2h45 | 223m+ | easy
The first stage takes you from Charmey to Jaun through the Jogne valley, along the river. This is an ideal way to prepare for what’s to come.
DAY 2
9.5 km | 4h15 | 1144m+ | moderate
The second stage takes you to the foot of the majestic Gastlosen, a superb trail close to the peaks with a crossing of the famous Col du Loup. The arrival at the Chalet du Soldat, a little jewel perched on its promontory with a panorama that will take your breath away.
DAY 3
19 km | 5h30 | 464m+ | 1340m- | moderate
The third and final day’s walk takes you through the Lapé primary forest and the Gros Mont valley before returning to the village of Charmey.
